Helppo 5 raaka-aineen banaanikakku (vegaaninen ja sokeriton)
I probably have the most requests and questions regarding vegan cake recipes. Vegan cakes can sometimes be tricky or are packed full of expensive ingredients. However this is my fool proof recipe for a vegan banana cake. It only contains 5 ingredients which you probably have already have in your cupboard, there are no expensive surprises and best of all no sugar.
Make sure your bananas are as ripe as possible, the skins should literally be black. the riper they are the sweeter your cake. I have added a list of optional ingredients should you want to spice up your banana bread and look out for some great serving suggestions which I will be posting soon.
5 Ingredient Vegan Banana Bread
4 super ripe bananas, mashed, reserve one half for decoration
75 g sunflower oil
225 g flour (gluten free if needed)
1 heaped tsp baking powder
1 heaped tsp baking soda
Optional extras:
1 tsp spice eg. cinnamon, ground ginger, vanilla etc
50 g chopped nuts eg. pecans, walnuts, almonds
50 g vegan friendly chocolate chips
50 g fresh blueberries
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees and line a 2 lb (1.8 litre) loaf tin.
Simply mix your mashed bananas and oil and add the flour, baking powder and soda. Should you be adding any extras throw them in now. Fold in the flour until fully combined and pour into your lined tin.
Place the reserved half banana on top of the mix and bake in the oven for 35- 45 mins, until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
Nice and yum recipe 🙂

New favourite!!!! So easy! I replaced 20 g of oil with almond milk, added a little extra water, cinnamon, and used mostly GF flour as that’s all I had (a blend; the rest was AP). Seriously simple and sweet enough! Will be my go to from now on. May consider adding some oats next time…

Thank you for this fabulous recipe! It has been our favourite for years now! I wanted to add some carob powder to it, will I have to cut on the flour as if I were using cocoa powder? Thank you for any suggestion! Next week will try the sugar free carob chocolate bark!

Great! So glad you like it. I often mix up the flour quantities. I usually remove 40 g then maybe add almond Flour, rye flour, raw cacao. I would see how the mixture is and you can always add a little extra flour/ milk as necessary
